The validity of A-3, G-5, and NATO 7 visas may not exceed the validity of the visa issued to the person who is employing the applicant. The "employer" would have one of the following visa classifications:
An E-1 and E-2 visa may be issued only to a principal alien who is a national of a country having a treaty, or its equivalent, with the United States. E-1 and E-2 visas may not be issued to a principal alien if he/she is a stateless resident or national of a country without a treaty. *When the spouse and children of an E-1 or E-2 principal alien are accorded derivative E-1 or E-2 status and are themselves a national of a country that does not have a treaty with the United States – the reciprocity schedule, including any reciprocity fees, of the principal alien’s country of nationality should be used. **Spouse and children of an E-1 or E-2 visa principal applicant, where the spouse and children are also nationals of a country that has a treaty with the United States – the reciprocity schedule, including any reciprocity fees, of the spouse and children’s country of nationality should be used.
*Example 1: John Doe is a national of Country A that has an E-1/E-2 treaty with the U.S. however his wife and child are nationals of Country B which has no treaty with the U.S. The wife and child would, therefore, be entitled to derivative status and receive the same reciprocity as John Doe, the principal visa holder.
**Example 2: Mike Doe is a national of Country Y that has an E-1/E-2 treaty with the U.S. however his wife and child are nationals of Country Z that also has a treaty with the U.S. The wife and child would, therefore, be entitled to derivative status and receive the reciprocity issued to nationals of Country Z.
The validity of H-1 through H-3, O-1 and O-2, P-1 through P-3, and Q visas may not exceed the period of validity of the approved petition or the number of months shown, whichever is less.
Under 8 CFR §214.2, H-2A and H-2B petitions may generally only be approved for nationals of countries that the Secretary of Homeland Security has designated as participating countries. The current list of eligible countries is available on USCIS's website for both H-2A and H-2B visas. Nationals of countries not on this list may be the beneficiary of an approved H-2A or H2-B petition in limited circumstances at the discretion of the Department of Homeland Security if specifically named on the petition.
Derivative H-4, L-2, O-3, and P-4 visas, issued to accompanying or following-to-join spouses and children, may not exceed the validity of the visa issued to the principal alien.
There is no reciprocity fee for the issuance of a J visa if the alien is a United States Government grantee or a participant in an exchange program sponsored by the United States Government.
Also, there is no reciprocity fee for visa issuance to an accompanying or following-to-join spouse or child (J-2) of an exchange visitor grantee or participant.
In addition, an applicant is eligible for an exemption from the MRV fee if he or she is participating in a State Department, USAID, or other federally funded educational and cultural exchange program (program serial numbers G-1, G-2, G-3 and G-7).
However, all other applicants with U.S. Government sponsorships, including other J-visa applicants, are subject to the MRV processing fee.
Under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), Canadian and Mexican nationals coming to engage in certain types of professional employment in the United States may be admitted in a special nonimmigrant category known as the "trade NAFTA" or "TN" category. Their dependents (spouse and children) accompanying or following to join them may be admitted in the "trade dependent" or "TD" category whether or not they possess Canadian or Mexican nationality. Except as noted below, the number of entries, fees and validity for non-Canadian or non-Mexican family members of a TN status holder seeking TD visas should be based on the reciprocity schedule of the TN principal alien.
Since Canadian nationals generally are exempt from visa requirement, a Canadian "TN' or "TD" alien does not require a visa to enter the United States. However, the non-Canadian national dependent of a Canadian "TN", unless otherwise exempt from the visa requirement, must obtain a "TD" visa before attempting to enter the United States. The standard reciprocity fee and validity period for all non-Canadian "TD"s is no fee, issued for multiple entries for a period of 36 months, or for the duration of the principal alien's visa and/or authorized period of stay, whichever is less. See 'NOTE' under Canadian reciprocity schedule regarding applicants of Iranian, Iraqi or Libyan nationality.
Mexican nationals are not visa-exempt. Therefore, all Mexican "TN"s and both Mexican and non-Mexican national "TD"s accompanying or following to join them who are not otherwise exempt from the visa requirement (e.g., the Canadian spouse of a Mexican national "TN") must obtain nonimmigrant visas.
Applicants of Iranian, Iraqi, Libyan, Somalian, Sudanese, Syrian or Yemeni nationality, who have a permanent resident or refugee status in Canada/Mexico, may not be accorded Canadian/Mexican reciprocity, even when applying in Canada/Mexico. The reciprocity fee and period for "TD" applicants from Libya is $10.00 for one entry over a period of 3 months. The Iranian and Iraqi "TD" is no fee with one entry over a period of 3 months.
Q-2 (principal) and Q-3 (dependent) visa categories are in existence as a result of the 'Irish Peace Process Cultural and Training Program Act of 1998'. However, because the Department anticipates that virtually all applicants for this special program will be either Irish or U.K. nationals, the Q-2 and Q-3 categories have been placed only in the reciprocity schedules for those two countries. Q-2 and Q-3 visas are available only at the Embassy in Dublin and the Consulate General in Belfast.
No S visa may be issued without first obtaining the Department's authorization.
V-2 and V-3 status is limited to persons who have not yet attained their 21st birthday. Accordingly, the period of validity of a V-2 or V-3 visa must be limited to expire on or before the applicant's twenty-first birthday.
Posts may not issue a T-1 visa. A T-1 applicant must be physically present in the United States, American Samoa, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands or a U.S. port of entry, where he/she will apply for an adjustment of status to that of a T-1. The following dependents of a T-1 visa holder, however, may be issued a T visa at a U.S. consular office abroad:
The validity of NATO-5 visas may not exceed the period of validity of the employment contract or 12 months, whichever is less.
The validity of CW-1 and CW-2 visas shall not exceed the maximum initial period of admission allowed by DHS (12 months) or the duration of the transition period ending December 31, 2014, whichever is shortest.
The validity of E-2C visas shall not exceed the maximum initial period of admission allowed by DHS (24 months) or the duration of the transition period ending December 31, 2014, whichever is shortest.

A note at the bottom of the document states that the certificate can be verified at https://verify.e-gov.am/en/ using a QR code or the document’s 16-digit control number.
Earlier versions were printed on blue paper or light green paper with a dark green border. The blue and green paper versions also feature the state emblem seal; a serial number; and the ZAGS’ supervisors’ signature. ZAGS officials usually signed in blue or red ink.
Issuing Authority Personnel Title: Medical institutions provide documentation regarding a child’s birth. Parents can register the birth at ZAGs.
Registration Criteria: If the child’s parents are married, either parent can register the child’s birth and obtain a birth certificate. If the child is born out of wedlock, the father can apply for a birth certificate after obtaining a paternity recognition certificate. Alternatively, a single mother may apply for a birth certificate by submitting a written statement to the local ZAGS office. The mother may choose to include or omit information regarding the biological father. In these cases, the child can take the mother’s surname and father’s name as a patronymic, if included in the written statement.

Death certificates are obtained at the ZAGS office in the deceased’s last legal domicile; the locality in which the death occurred; or where the deceased’s body was found. Deaths that occur in Yerevan are always registered in the territorial division of the Yerevan special services of the Civil Acts Registration Agency.

Registration Criteria: Only marriages registered with ZAGS are recognized in the Republic of Armenia. Common law (co-habitation) and church marriages do not carry any legal force. State registration of a marriage requires the physical presence of the persons entering into marriage. Registration of a marriage through a letter of attorney or a representative, i.e. durante absentia, is prohibited. If either of the persons entering into a marriage is not able to appear at ZAGS due to a serious disease or other valid reasons, the state registration of the marriage may be carried out at home, in a medical or other institution in the presence of the persons entering into a marriage.
Procedure for Obtaining: To obtain an original marriage certificate a joint written application of the persons entering into a marriage is required. The form may be obtained from the Ministry of Justice website at moj.am or from a ZAGS office. If one of the persons is not able to appear at ZGAS office to file a joint application, then the signature of the absent person must be certified in the joint application by a notary or by Armenian consul based in a foreign state, or by another person competent to perform the functions of a notary . In addition to the application identification documents of the persons entering into a marriage a document on the termination of previous marriages (if any) is required.

Registration Criteria: Mutual consent divorces are registered at ZAGS office. Divorces are processed in civil courts if (1) a spouse does not consent to the divorce; (2) one of the spouses refuses to cooperate with divorce proceedings including but not limited to failing to register the divorce at a ZAGS office; (3) both spouses agree to terminate the marriage in a civil court. If spouses decide to divorce in a civil court, the marriage is considered terminated from the entry the time the civil court’s judgment is entered into force. A divorce confirmed in a civil court may be registered with a ZAGS office by either of the spouses after the civil court’s judgment is entered into force.
Procedure for Obtaining: To register a divorce by mutual consent a joint application must be submitted by both spouses. If one of the spouses cannot appear at the ZAGS office, they may express their consent by submitting a notarized statement. Applicants are entitled to withdraw their application at any time prior to registration of the divorce. The following documents are required to register a divorce:

Registration Criteria: Anyone 16 years old or older may obtain a certificate about himself/herself. Any individual’s parent, brother, sister, husband, child, or authorized representative may obtain a certificate about that person.
Procedure for Obtaining: Requests for Armenian police records should be submitted to the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia in person (Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10.00 to 12.00 in the reception hall of the administrative building of the MFA), by mail (to: RA, Yerevan 0010, Vazgen Sargsyan 3, Government House 2, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Consular) or online at mfa.am.

Exceptions: Under Armenian law, prior criminal records may be expunged under several different sets of circumstances after a certain period of time has passed since the end of the sentence; in the case of suspended sentences, after the expiry of the probation period after parole; in the case of a sentence other than imprisonment, one year; in the case of a not grave or medium-gravity crime, after three years; in the case of a grave crime, five years; in the case of a particularly grave crime, eight years. Thus, if a person committed, for instance, a grave crime and more than five years have passed since the completion of her/his sentence, the MFA’s police certificate will not show a record regarding this crime.

Special Seal(s) / Color / Format: Court decrees are issued on A4 paper. The first page bears the state emblem and the individual numbering of the document, with letters indicating the court and a unique decision number. At the bottom of each page is the stamp of the judge. On the last page under the verdict is the stamp, name and signature of the judge. When the verdict is not appealed and enters into force another notice is added to the decision with the date the Decision entered into force, and stamp and signature of the judge. Stamps are round with Armenian text only. Ink may be blue, black or red.

Registration Criteria: No later than in 5 days after the announcement of a criminal verdict, a copy is handed to the defendant, his defense counsel and the prosecutor. Civil case decisions are also available to participants by request in 5 days.
Procedure for Obtaining: Court verdicts are immediately forwarded to the persons participating in the case and take effect in 15 days. The verdict is compiled in the language of the court trial and consists of the introduction, description and argumentation, and conclusion. Corrections in the verdict must be agreed upon and approved with signatures of all judges prior to announcement of the verdict. Armenian citizens can apply for court information orally or in writing. In a written inquiry the requestor’s name, surname, citizenship, address, work or educational institution (in case of a legal entity its designation and address) are required.

Special Seal(s) / Color / Format: At present there are several different types of military books in the circulation including two from the Soviet Union different. The current Republic of Armenia military book is in Armenian and Russian. On the first page is the individual numbering of the document, biographic information and photo of the holder, and the stamp, rank and signature of the head of the military commissariat. The military book contains information about the education and position of the holder. A person should be registered in his territorial military commissariat, which is confirmed with a stamp and date he is registered.

Registration Criteria: All male citizens of Armenia aged 16 to 18 are legally required to register for military service.
Procedure for Obtaining: All male citizens of Armenia aged 16 to 18 are called to the Military Unit of the Ministry of Defense of their residency to be registered and be issued a military card.

Exceptions: All male citizens of Armenia, except as noted above, over age 20 should have a military booklet, (a military service document, also known as voyenni billet in Russian) which contains information on the terms of service and/or discharge. After turning 27, persons holding registration cards with legal deferment stamps will also be issued a military booklet.
Comments: All male citizens of Armenia, aged 16 to 18 are issued a military registration card. The military registration cards of persons aged 18 to 27 who have not yet served in the Army contain information on the legal basis of their deferment of military service.

Registration Criteria: Armenian passport (citizenship) can be acquired by ethnic Armenians, i.e. those who have ancestors of Armenian origin, as well as long-term residents of Armenia and spouses of Armenian citizens. Children under 6 years old may be issued passports for a period of 3 years, and from 6 to 16 years old with a 5 year validity or until age 18. Armenian nationals 16 years and older are issued passport with a validity of 10 years.
Procedure for Obtaining: Diplomatic missions and consular posts of the Republic of Armenia may issue and extend passports. The following documents are required when applying for a passport:

Comments: All Armenian citizens 16 and older are issued a regular passport by the passport agency of their local police department. Holders of Armenian passports can apply at any time to renew, change, or extend his/her passport or exit permit stamp, regardless of passport condition or validity period. Armenian citizens must submit their old passports to the passport agency for verification before receiving a new passport. Armenian diplomatic passports are valid for five years and cannot be extended. Armenian citizens under the age of 16 need only one parent’s (or other legal representative’s) consent to apply for a passport.

Fees: A state duty of AMD 5,000 is levied for the change of name, patronymic and surname.
Change of Name certificates are issued by the Civil Status Acts Registration Agency of the Ministry of Justice (also known as ZAGS) having jurisdiction over the locality where the individual resides. It is also possible to get duplicates of these certificates. Persons 18 years old and over can apply to the appropriate Civil Status Acts Registration Office for a Change of Name certificate. Applicants can change their first, last and patronymic name. Persons 16 to 18 years of age may change their name with their parents’ consent. Changes are made to previous records in civil status acts regarding the person having changed his or her name. A new Civil Status Acts Registration certificate is issued on the ground of those changes. The person is also issued a certificate of name change, which allows other state and non-state bodies and organizations to change previously issued documents.
