This Notice Supersedes the December 21, 2018 Announcement
The Department has received notification that the Ministry of Labor and Social Development (MLSD) of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Kyrgyz central authority, reinstated the accreditation of the following foreign Adoption Service Providers (ASPs) operating in the country:
The Department has also been informed that the following ASPs are no longer operating in Kyrgyzstan:
The Department will continue working with Embassy Bishkek to gather more information from the MLSD about cases in process as it becomes available. Prospective adoptive parents should stay in contact with their ASPs.
Affected families may wish to seek additional guidance about Case Transfer Responsibilities on the Department of State’s website and information If Your Agency is No Longer Accredited/Approved on the USCIS website.
We also encourage families with outstanding post-adoption reports to contact their ASP for guidance on how to proceed. Information about post-adoption reporting requirements is available on the country-specific information pages on the Department of State’s website. Requirements vary by country with respect to frequency of submission, information to be included, and methods of submission.
