Intercountry Adoption News and Notices > Haiti: Embassy Port-au-Prince Resumes E-Mail Processing
The Office of Children’s Issues assumed management of Embassy Port-au-Prince’s adoption inbox, papadoptions@state.gov, after the ordered departure of non-emergency Embassy personnel on February 14, 2019.
Embassy Port-au-Prince has resumed management of their inbox. Effective immediately, prospective adoptive parents and adoption service providers should contact Embassy Port-au-Prince directly with any questions related to pending adoptions in Haiti.
The Level 4 Travel Advisory remains in place, and prospective adoptive parents should not travel to Haiti at this time. The U.S. government has limited ability to provide emergency services to U.S. citizens due to reduced staffing and security concerns. Please review Haiti’s Travel Advisory for additional details.
